THE BASICS
Who is this camp for?
This is a camp for solid Bais Yaakov girls with a love of fun, nature and adventure; the kind of friends you’d want for your daughter.
Because who she spends the summer with matters.
What are the dates?
July 5–21.
Where do we go?
Utah, Nevada and Arizona, including Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Grand Canyon, Great Basin and Zion.
Is this a road trip? How much time is spent traveling?
No. We stay at one home base the whole time and head out each day on a new trip. Some days we leave early in the morning and come back late at night. Driving time ranges from 20 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the day. You’ll never repack or change beds.
What will we do?
Hiking, rafting, ziplining, ATVing, a ropes course, fishing, boating and campfires. And of course, many more great surprises!
MONEY
How much is it?
$3,700 plus airfare. Everything else is included, with no hidden fees.
What discounts are there?
Early Bird: $200 off when you register by Nov 1. Bring Your Crew: $50 off each for groups of 3 or more. Combined, that’s as little as $3,450 plus airfare.
How does payment work?
A $1,000 deposit (towards your tuition) is due with your application. After you’re accepted, you have 48 hours to confirm that you want the spot, after that it is non-refundable. It is returned if you aren’t accepted. The rest can be split into three payments, due on January 1, March 1 and June 1.
Is financial help available?
Limited scholarships are available. Call the office to ask.
How does camp help families save money?
There’s no canteen, so no spending money is needed at camp. We provide 5 camp T-shirts, and your daughter brings 2 of her own T-shirts, 5 weekday skirts and 2 Shabbos outfits. That means less to buy, and less pressure about what to wear.
SAFETY AND SUPERVISION
Who runs camp, and who is on staff?
I’m Chani Gerstel. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with Bais Yaakov girls as a teacher, a program director, and a therapist. I know what happens when a girl is in the right environment: she recharges, discovers new sides of herself, and carries it with her all year.
That’s the summer I want for your daughter. Pure fun, true wholesomeness, the nifloas haBorei up close, and a deeper appreciation for everything Hashem gave us. She’ll come home glowing, with a full heart, great stories, and friends for life.
Our Staff
Every staff member is handpicked: solid in their hashkafos, and true role models for your daughter. Women she’ll look up to, and one day hope to become.
Can I reach my daughter?
Yes, there will be ways for you to contact her. No camper may have a cell phone, iPad or any electronic device.
What do I pack?
As little as possible. We’ll give you a lot, since you’ll be flying, and send the rest of the list later.
What about allergies or dietary needs?
Please speak with the office before applying. We serve delicious cooked meals, but because we’re away from a frum community, special diets can be harder. We’ll do our best if we know in advance.
FLIGHTS AND SIGNING UP
How do the flights work?
We’ll give you a choice of 3 flights, which you book yourself. We’ll pick your daughter up at the airport and bring her to camp.
How do I apply?
Applications open October 20. Along with the application, we ask for a medical form, 2 references (not relatives), a photo of the camper, and an in-person or Zoom interview.
Does my daughter need to come with friends?
No. It’s easy to make friends. If she brings two, you get the group discount.
